Java Upgrade Instructions
To install the latest version of Java, please follow the below instructions.
1. First remove any old versions of Java by going to Control Panel, clicking on ADD/Remove Programs. In Windows Vista, look for Programs and Features.
a. Locate your old Java programs, highlight them and click on Remove.

2. Once you have removed Java from you computer, please restart your system.
Now that you have restarted your computer it is now time for you to install Java. The instructions are in two parts. One is for Internet Explorer Users and one is for Mozilla Firefox. Please follow the guideline which applies to you. To do so, right-click on the Java icon below and choose open in new tab or new window. The link will take you to the Java Downloads for All Operating Systems webpage.

A list of Java versions that you can download and use will appear in the new tab/window. The Java Download you are looking for is second (2nd) in the list from the top. It is called "Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003 Offline". The file size is 15.18 MB.
Click on the second download option under Windows.

1. After you click on the green arrow next to "Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003 Offline". You will receive a dialog box which will ask you to Save or Run the file. Please click on "RUN".

2. Another dialog box will appear asking you to "Run" the file. Please select "RUN".

3. Another dialog will appear. Please select "ACCEPT" at the bottom right.

4. On the next page please deselect the option to install Google toolbar and select "NEXT" on the bottom right.

5. A window will then appear showing you that the application is installing.

6. You will then receive the final installation page which will inform you that the installation is complete. Click on Finish.

Upgrading Java and Safari on a Macintosh

1. Click on Check Now.
2. Click on the apple in the upper-left-hand corner of the screen.
3. Click on System Preferences.
4. Select Software Update.
Important Note:
This will show you a list of all available updates for your installed software on OS X. It is strongly recommended that you do all of the updates available from Apple and keep updated regularly. This is an integral step to keeping your software supported by Apple and IB.
