Research and Advice

CK Locke & Partners Research division analyses futures and equity markets to find profitable trading systems and to find undervalued companies.

Equities

Our research division gathers and analyses company information to provide valuable insights about companies and industry trends. We are specialised in small market capitalised companies that would be considered to be speculative in nature.

Futures

We are constantly searching and testing for trading strategies that meet our reward to risk requirements.

Over the years we have found that there can be benefits in System trading (especially for derivatives markets) instead of individual (discretionary) trading.

Discretionary trading involves subjective decisions that frequently become emotional which sometimes lead to losses.

System based trading in contrast, is objective; the entry and exit level is predetermined and hence emotions are not part of the trade.

Another important component of a trading strategy is the management of risk (the possibility of financial loss). The essence of good risk management is to risk as little trading capital as possible in order to maximize the profit.
